Local Business Consultants Reports

Privacy policy.

What the application uses, why it uses it, and what you can control.

1. About these pages and the app

Local Business Consultants Reports is an owner-managed application led by Chris Parker. It prepares tailored business self-assessment priorities reports. The questionnaire currently has limited private access; these public pages provide application, privacy and terms information.

These information pages have no forms, analytics, tracking scripts, external fonts or advertising. The code authored for these pages does not set cookies. Hosting services may process technical access information under their own terms.

2. Information used to prepare a report

The private questionnaire uses your industry, business stage, team size and selected answers, including relevant follow-up answers. Your name is used to address the report and your email address is used for the requested copy.

Your answers remain in the open questionnaire page until you select “Show and email my report”. That action sends your name, email, business context and answers to the report service. The service uses them to prepare the requested report and, when enabled, request its email copy. In the current private preview, the recipient must match the verified sign-in email supplied by the hosting platform.

The questionnaire does not save answers or contact details in browser storage. Reloading or closing it clears that page’s questionnaire state. Your browser’s own autofill settings are under your control. Do not include confidential customer details in your answers.

3. The Google account connection

The designated owner authorises the sending account. The sender connection requests these Google OAuth permissions:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send
To send the report emails requested through the app from the connected account. The app does not use this permission to read inbox messages.
openid and email
To identify the Google account authorising the connection and verify that it is the intended sending account.

The app does not request Gmail inbox-reading permission. Questionnaire users are not asked to connect their own Gmail inbox to receive a report.

Connection credentials, including the refresh token, are held in the hosting platform’s Sites secret configuration and used by the server. They are not included in these public pages, delivered to the questionnaire browser or stored in the report-request log.

4. Storage and retention

To prevent duplicate sending, the report service keeps a four-field request log:

  • A hashed request reference.
  • A hash representing the submitted report request.
  • The sending state, such as preparing, accepted or uncertain.
  • The request’s creation timestamp.

The log does not contain names, email addresses, questionnaire answers or report content in readable form. Hashes are used to recognise a request and whether its contents have changed; they are not a stored copy of the report.

Log entries more than seven days old are removed when the next eligible report request is processed. This is request-triggered cleanup, not a guaranteed deletion at the exact seven-day mark.

Email copies in the sender’s Gmail account and the recipient’s mailbox are separate from this log and follow those accounts’ retention and deletion settings. Printed or downloaded reports are under the recipient’s control.

5. Providers and permitted uses

The hosting provider processes the application and its requests. Google processes the sender connection and report emails through Gmail. These providers may process service and access information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Local Business Consultants uses the information for the requested report, sending controls and handling related enquiries. It does not use the questionnaire or Google account data for advertising, sell that data, subscribe you to a mailing list or use it to train AI models.

A message saying that the provider accepted an email request does not prove that it reached the recipient’s inbox. An uncertain sending outcome is kept distinct from confirmed acceptance.

6. Your choices and contact

You can review and edit your questionnaire answers before submitting, and choose whether to request the report. The connected account owner can revoke the app’s access through the third-party connections settings in their Google Account. Revocation prevents future authorised sending once the existing authorisation is no longer valid; it does not delete messages already sent.

For questions about your information, to request help with access or deletion, or to ask about the connection, contact Chris Parker:

Any further public launch or material change to information use will require the relevant access controls and privacy information to be updated.
